Family Life

Many people who come to St Mark’s find that that our church family is a great place to belong, whether young, old, or ‘in between’; whether male or female; of different races and nationalities; single or married. This is very obvious at a bring & share lunch or one of our social events.

Those with children find that our location is good for families, particularly with onsite car parking. Most families come to our 10h30 service, a time that those with children find convenient. Many families comment that their children feel very welcome at St Mark's, perhaps that's one of the reasons that over 50 children are involved in the Children's Programme!

We believe that it is important for us to worship and learn together, and that it is also good to have activities that are focussed on different ages and groups.

So we are all together for worship in song at the start of each 10h30 service, and children and young people then have their own activities. At other events, childminding is often arranged with parents – we are fortunate to have rooms and facilities that enable this.

Within this context, we seek to help people to build strong marriages and healthy families.
