"Two Years to Build, Two Years to Fill"
Vision: God has given a vision that St.Mark’s is to become a resource for growing Christians in this immediate area of France and well beyond; indeed he is calling us to become a “storehouse” church. Just as Joseph spent the 7 plentiful years filling the storehouse in Egypt so that during the 7 years of famine, there would be something to give to those who were in need, so God is calling us to grow strong and to look outwards in order to be a blessing to many others (very likely both English-speaking and French-speaking).
Aim for the next 4 years: To fill the storehouse = to provide equipping/teaching events for St.Mark’s and for the network of English and French pastors and churches who want to grow spiritually into a deeper understanding of Kingdom values and practice. To offer the ministry and facilities of St.Mark’s Church so as to develop that network of churches into a mutually supportive and encouraging fellowship based on a commitment to Kingdom values. New Wine being the model and source of inspiration for this vision, it is hoped that one end-product of the vision may be to form New Wine France. [NB also the model of St.Andrew’s Chorleywood as the storehouse church that gave life to New Wine & Soul Survivor….]
Target: A programme of regular Kingdom Training Days and Church Leader Download Days, resourced by New Wine speakers.
Kingdom Training Days (KTD) are intended to provide a gathering place for any in positions of local church leadership or responsibility who want to press into God, connect with others who desire to grow in the practice of the Kingdom of God, and to find space for teaching and prayer ministry. Teaching focuses on ministries including: Worship, Healing, Prayer, Prophecy, Kid’s Work; Parenting etc. KT Days take place on Saturdays, and will be preceded by a prayer event in St.Mark’s on the Friday night, and followed by opportunity to hear the visiting New Wine speaker at Sunday services.
Download Days (DD) are specifically for pastors and church leaders and for this reason they take place midweek, usually on Tuesdays. D Days are an opportunity for leaders to be empowered and equipped, to experience the breaking-in of the Kingdom of God in their own lives so that they can bring the values and practice of the Kingdom back to their own churches. D Days provide support, teaching (on healing, prophecy, prayer ministry etc), networking opportunities and encouragement for pastors and leaders.
