Giving to St Mark'sWe welcome all who come to our church, and see financial giving as voluntary.
Members of St Mark's contribute to the life and work of the church in many different ways. Whilst the information below relates to financial giving, other pages on this site explain the variety of ways you can get involved in the ministry.
St Mark’s is entirely self-financing. We receive no subsidies of any kind and are entirely responsible for the cost of ministry, staff and building maintenance. We are dependent on the giving of our members and our visitors, and by the grace of God we manage to cover our budget. 10% of all our income is set aside and allocated to worthy causes by the PCC such as outreach and mission-based needs in France and around the World. We all have a role to play in the Lord's ministry. We are blessed with a vital, gospel-based church with many opportunities and many challenges. The Lord is always more generous than we can ever imagine and we can testify to his faithfulness to his church.
We are grateful to the many who have given sacrificially and we are confident that the Lord will develop his work at Saint Mark's, as we look to the future.
We thank each of you for your generosity and your commitment to Saint Mark's, and the Church Council, the Churchwardens and the Clergy of Saint Mark's join together in saying that we are most encouraged by what God has in store for us and by those who give without counting the cost.
